Notes and shortcuts

Keep your eyes on the candidate.

A note sits beside every question and saves a moment after you stop typing. Ratings and notes belong to the question they were left on, so the review reads the way the interview went.

Rating keys switch on once the interview has started.

Rate the current question. Keys follow your scale’s levels, up to level 9; press the same key again to clear the rating.

Candidate review

From the interview to a clear review.

The ratings and notes you leave while interviewing are the review. There is nothing to re-enter afterwards.

  1. 1. Conduct

Work through the planned questions, rating and noting each one. Notes save as you type, so nothing waits on a separate scoring sheet.

  2. 2. Finish

Finishing the interview shows its average rating and flags any question left unrated — the average uses rated questions only.

  3. 3. Review

The review page brings together the average score, category averages, submitted feedback, and every question with its rating and note.

AI summary

Optional

Based on recorded questions, ratings, and notes.

  • How would you make a payment webhook handler idempotent?

    Yes

Stores a delivery id per event and skips repeats. Did not mention replay after partial failure until prompted.

  • How would you model billing for multiple tenants?

    Maybe

Sound tables; unsure how to handle plan changes.

Every rating and note stays tied to the question it was left on.

Optional AI summary

A summary of what was recorded.

On a completed interview you can ask for a short AI summary of the interviewer’s own record. The ratings stay the interviewer’s; the summary only condenses them, so read it alongside the notes.

What it reads

The questions recorded for the interview, the interviewer’s rating and note on each, and any text feedback the interviewer submitted.

How it is framed

It is instructed to keep the interviewer’s judgments attributed to the interviewer, in their own strength of wording, and to add no recommendation, ranking, or suitability judgment of its own.

When you get it

Only on a completed interview, and only when someone who can edit that interview chooses to generate it. Regenerate it any time the notes change.

What it costs

Generating a summary uses AI credits, or your own AI key if you have connected one.

Across candidates

Compare candidates with scorecards

To put candidates for the same position side by side, use scorecards. That comparison is part of the Growth and Scale plans (some organizations have temporary access) and needs the permission to view scorecards, which interviewers do not have by default.

Rating and reviewing a single interview, as described above, does not depend on scorecards.
